One Punch Man’s Latest Manga Volume Features Striking New Cover Art

The One Punch Man hype train is still rollin’ and it looks like we have a new cover to ogle while waiting for the new episodes of the anime to come around. Luckily, we still have the manga to tide us over, and the latest volume is 17, which is coming out in Japan. It’s got some pretty sick cover art, too, featuring the S-Class Rank 8 hero, known as Zombieman.

We don’t know a lot about Zombieman, nor if we’ll see much of him in the upcoming series, but it’s safe to say Season Two won’t feature him just yet. The anime, which Viz Media has gone ahead and licensed thankfully for fans who can’t wait to see more, is coming down the line soon enough, but we still need something to tide us over until it’s actually out.

And let’s not forget about the fact that One Punch Man artist Yusuke Murata always has something cool to share on Twitter. His latest sketch proves he can basically draw just about anything, which shouldn’t come as a surprise. He took to Twitter recently with a new Naruto sketch, and fans ate it up, just as you’d imagine they would have. This guy is seriously amazing.

Not only can he handle his own series, but Naruto, Dragon Ball Z, and One Piece, too? Is there anything this man can’t do? According to the other sketches we’ve seen highlighted from him on social media thus far, it seems like the answer to that question is no.

If you’re still unfamiliar with One Punch Man after all this time, consider the fact that it’s basically about a regular guy who decides he wants to be a hero for fun. That’s it, nothing too complicated about that! Saitama simply trains until he can’t train anymore under a ridiculous regimen. He emerges stronger than any other hero he knows, and he can take out most foes with just “one punch.” That’s how he got his namesake as a hero, after all.

If you’re planning on getting started with the series, you’ve still got plenty of time before the new season begins, but we highly recommend that you get caught up. It’s going to be an awesome bonanza of explosive fights this time around, and you won’t want to miss it.

At long last, we finally found ourselves with a release date for Season Two. But it’s still a ways off! There’s plenty of other cool stuff to tide you over until then though, like when Saitama fought the Hulk or when one of the lead animators took on the Mega Man tribute, which was equally awesome.
